BPM: Ponzellini will be prosecuted, the process starts on June 16th

Massimo Ponzellini, former Governor of the Banca Popolare di Milano will be prosecuted. This was decided by Judge Auditor Alessandra Simion who is associated with the legal proceedings, which was given by the Institute appropriations. Besides Ponzellini 13 other people will be prosecuted. There are various charges against them: conspiracy, embezzlement, infidelity as a result of giving (or promising to give) profits, capital infidelity.
Legal proceedings is also directed against Antonio Canna Lire, who is considered the righthand of Ponzellini, Francesco Corallo, owner of the company Atlantis / Bplus, which operates in the gaming sector, the lawyer Onofrio Amoruso Battista (at time of the facts supervisor at the Banca Popolare di Milano), Giorgio Bianchini Scudellari (former board member of BPM), entrepreneurs Rosario Scuteri and Camillo Colella, former councilor of Milan Emilio Santomauro, Luigi Simeoni (LK Real Estate), Emilio Sacchi (Binda4 Srl.), Paolo Golzio, Mara Grazioli, Francesco and Alessandro Ranzoni Lamonica (considered as being committed with Corallo). Based on the indictment would be within the BPM, then led by Ponzellini, a “parallel and to personal interests redirected” structure have been created, which would have provided loans to more than 230 million euros in exchange for payments, which in totals approximately 2 million

Massimo Ponzellini, ex presidente della Banca Popolare di Milano, è stato rinviato a giudizio dal Gup Alessandra Simion, nell’ambito del procedimento su alcuni finanziamenti sospetti concessi dall’istituto. Il processo inizierà il 16 giugno prossimo davanti i giudici della seconda sezione penale del tribunale di Milano. Oltre a Ponzellini, sono state rinviate a giudizio altre 13 persone. Le accuse nei loro confronti sono – a vario titolo – associazione per delinquere, appropriazione indebita, infedeltà a seguito di dazione o promessa di utilità, infedeltà patrimoniale.

Il processo è anche a carico di Antonio Cannalire, considerato il braccio destro di Ponzellini, Francesco Corallo, titolare della società attiva nel settore dei giochi Atlantis/BPlus, l’avvocato Onofrio Amoruso Battista (all’epoca dei fatti probiviro Bpm), Giorgio Bianchino Scudellari (ex consigliere di Bpm), gli imprenditori Rosario Scuteri e Camillo Colella, l’ex consigliere comunale di Milano Emilio Santomauro, Luigi Simeoni (LK Real Estate), Emilio Sacchi (Binda4 srl), Paolo Golzio, Mara Grazioli, Francesco Ranzoni e Alessandro Lamonica (considerato vicino a Corallo). Secondo l’ipotesi accusatoria, all’interno della Bpm, quando era guidata da Ponzellini, sarebbe stata creata una struttura “parallela e deviata verso interessi personali” che avrebbe erogato prestiti per oltre 230 milioni di euro, in cambio di pagamenti che ammontano complessivamente a circa 2 milioni di euro.

Massimo Ponzellini, voormalig President van de Banca Popolare di Milano zal worden vervolgd. Dit is besloten door Rechter Commissaris Alessandra Simion in verband met het proces, dat enige door het instituut gegeven verdachte kredieten betreft.
