SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – The Police Force of St. Maarten (KPSM) will not tolerate scooter riders who use the roads of St. Maarten recklessly endangering the lives of other road users and causing damage to public and private property.
An official complaint was made by a female victim against her boyfriend with the initials J.D. after an argument. After a short investigation the officers became aware that the suspect ill-treated his partner.

Male victim encountered with gun shots wound in his car in Dutch Quarter
On Tuesday evening March 20th approximately 06.50 pm, the dispatch center received several calls concerning a male victim who was found in a vehicle in Dutch Quarter suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremities.
At the location the patrols encountered male victim sitting in his car who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victims was quickly stabilized on the scene by the paramedics and rushed to the Sint. Maarten Medical Center in critical condition.

After the failed attempt, the suspect entered a waiting vehicle and drove in the direction of Cul de Sac. The vehicle was later spotted by a police patrol in the St. Peters and the driver was ordered to stop the car.

Photos Two Serious Accidents Being Investigated KPSM Sint Maarten The first accident took place on Friday evening March 26th, 2021 around 11:30 pm on the Airport road. Upon investigating into what transpired, it was discovered that the driver of a silver Suzuki was driving at a high rate of speed on the Airport road, going towards MAHO area. The driver of the Suzuki lost control at one point and collided with the white Hyundai coming from the opposite direction.

On the evening of March 3, Police Central Dispatch received several calls about a shooting in St. Peters. Arriving on the scene, police officers found two men who were shot and in urgent need of medical care.
The investigation found that three masked men showed up at the scene and threatened the victims with a handgun and attempted to rob them of their belongings. The suspects were not successful in robbing the victims and proceeded to fire several shots at the men before fleeing the scene.
The suspect’s home was searched by police following his arrest. The suspect remains in police custody pending further investigation.
