THE NETHERLANDS IS IN THE TOP FIVE WHEN IT COMES TO TAX HAVENS. THE ANTILLES DON’T EVEN CHART

Curaçao is in 29 place on the Corporate Tax Haven Index, the international list of tax havens. That is far below the Netherlands, which is in fourth place, after the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. The list is published every two years. Earlier, the Netherlands was also fourth. Aruba is in 56th place. Sint Maarten has not been investigated.

Sint Maarten Recovery Resilience Trust Steering Committee Agrees on Importance of Maintaining Focus on Rehabilitating Critical Infrastructure

The Steering Committee reaffirmed its full commitment to use Trust Fund resources to the benefit of all Sint Maarteners to build a stronger and more resilient Sint Maarten. Nine projects financed from the Trust Fund are completed or under implementation. Details about project progress and achievements to date are available on the Trust Fund dashboard and on the NRPB website.

Association Antillean Network (VAN) spread its wings to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom.

The Hague Paul Comenencia, on behalf of Curaçao State Councilor of the Kingdom and former minister plenipotentiary of the Netherlands Antilles, would like to see the Association Antillean Network (VAN) spread its wings to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom.
Comenencia argued for this today in his lecture on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the network organization. Due to the corona measures, the anniversary was celebrated via a Zoom meeting. Comenencia emphasized the importance of the association, which he believes can increase even more if it grows into a kingdom-wide network.

Customs Intercept Cocaine St Maarten

PHILIPSBURG:— During a routine control on March 5th, 2021, Customs Officers at the Princess Juliana International airport once again intercepted 3 heavy sports bags, with packages which raised suspicions by the officers. After intensive research, it resulted that the packages contained cocaine which was destined for Europe.
