A drug courier was sentenced by the Frankfurt district court on Thursday to three and a half years in prison for smuggling about 1.5 kilograms of liquid cocaine in shaving cream cans.
The K-9 unit detected the drugs at a Frankfurt airport after the suitcase of the 23-year-old passenger from Curacao (Netherlands Antilles) had been unloaded.
The drug intended for onward transport to Belgium was of relatively poor quality, which was taken into account in the sentencing of the accused.
The man had made a confession.
