Associate Legal Counsel InselAir
InselAir is looking for an associate legal counsel.
InselAir is a dynamic and ambitious airline serving 25 destinations in the Pan-American region from its hubs on Aruba and Curacao. To grow as a company and to keep reaching higher we are always on the lookout for professionals in the airline business.
Responsibilities:
Providing assistance to the Legal Counsel on the following:
Drafting and reviewing contracts for InselAir or any of its related companies;
Drafting, reviewing and proof-reading legal documents and correspondence;
Advising the CEO and management regarding the content of contracts;
Following-up with counterparts during the drafting of contracts;
Proactively advising the CEO and management for legal risks or discrepancies the Legal Counsel regards of importance;
Undertaking general legal research and investigation and advising on legal topics and developments of use or interest to the company;
Work with, manage and negotiate effectively the use of outside counsel as necessary in order to optimize value;
Providing advice and guidance, researching and drafting legal memoranda and legal notices for various departments within InselAir;
Tasks which might reasonably be considered to belong to the tasks of an associate Legal Counsel;
Third party claims management;
Insurance and permit compliance management;
All the above in close cooperation with the Legal Counsel.
Requirements
University Degree in Law and approximately 3 years of experience as an inhouse lawyer (or similar position) in the following areas: corporate law, labour law, contract law, aviation law, intellectual property law or international law.
Candidates who have completed specialized courses in international intellectual property law, international commercial agreements, airline contracts and/or airline liability have preference over other candidates.
Able to perform under pressure.
Written and oral skills in the following languages: Papiamentu, English, Dutch and Spanish.
