On the proposal of Minister Yeşilgöz-Zegerius of Justice and Security, the Council of Ministers has agreed to nominate Mr. ARE (Guus) Schram for appointment as a member of the Board of Prosecutors General of the Public Prosecution Service (OM) as of 1 January. October 2022.
Since August 2019, Schram has been the chief public prosecutor at the Functional Public Prosecutor’s Office. He started his career at the Public Prosecution Service in 2000 after his Raio training as a public prosecutor at the public prosecutor’s office in Rotterdam. In 2004 he transferred to the National Public Prosecutor’s Office where he was appointed senior officer in 2007 and deputy chief officer in April 2012.
Guus Schram new Attorney General OM
From August 2017 to August 2019, he was chief public prosecutor at the Northern Netherlands Public Prosecutor’s Office. Before that, Schram was Attorney General of Curaçao, Sint Maarten and Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba from February 2014 to September 2017. Guus Schram succeeds Theo Hofstee, who will retire on November 1, 2022.
