UPDATE 20.22: It seems to be a Europe Airlines aircraft on the D-Pier. Messages on Twitter speak of a hijacking, but the Marechaussee cannot confirm this. It may be an Airbus A330 in Skyteam colors.
SCHIPHOL –
A major incident is currently taking place at Schiphol.
Emergency services were alerted around seven o’clock for a major incident. A press officer from the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee can currently say no more than that an incident is taking place and is talking about a suspicious situation. More information will follow later.
Several ambulances and fire engines are on the way. Emergency services have scaled up considerably. Witnesses inform a RTVA journalist that an Arrest Team has also been seen at the airport.
