Almost 100 people ran in the 2014 campaign election. Of those 100 people it seems only two or three could actually past the screening to become a Minister.
Marcel Gumbs is now the Prime Minister, and the Head of Vromi, Spatial Planning and infrastructure- everything in the St Maarten government is about corruption or conflicts.
It was obvious a few weeks ago, after Marcel had only been Minister for less than one business day, when they called an emergency meeting in Parliament to deal with the SMHDF mess.
Parliament, once again was a theater of clowns, as Maurice Lake, the man who used to be in charge of Vromi as Minister, but now is a Parliamentarian because he can no longer pass the screening to become Minister, is questioning, along with his cohorts Marcel Gumbs, a man who had just taken the position hours before.
The Parliament session was a sham, and everyone knew it- but they have to pretend to work, they have to make the St Maarten people believe that they earn their 10.000 dollars per month, although we know that the majority of Parliament spends most of it’s time on Miama holidays, and Paralatino, South American trips, where they are given big money to ignore the plight of the St Maartener, as they relax at 5 star hotels.
Below is a list of YOUR Ministers… As you can see some who can’t even handle one job, has been given two Ministerial positions.
Dennis Richardson, cannot pass the screening to become Justice Minister, however the Dutch like him, so he’s still there.
This makes locals dislike and distrust the Dutch even more.
If the Dutch are here to clean up the mess, then clean up the whole mess- including the politicians who brown-nose with the Dutch, and then get anything they want.
The Dutch has a terrible policy right now, and it’s all about hating Theo Heyliger.
They are so blinded by their hatred, that their motto seems to be ‘anyone but Theo’.
I am no Theo fan, but these b.s. policies of replacing crooks, with bigger crooks does not improve the situation in government, it makes it worse, and it fosters more contempt and distrust of the Dutch by St Maarteners.
The Dutch’s message in this is “Our crooks are better than yours”
Terrible policy- and that’s why locals hate Theo, Marlin and Sarah- but they hate and distrust the Dutch even more.
The Dutch cannot be about integrity, when they are recycling the same old criminals, simply because these criminals kowtow to them and kiss their asses.
GET ALL OF THESE CROOKS OUT OF GOVERNMENT!
The Dutch need to show some actually backbone, and INTEGRITY, and appoint not just their Ja Knikkers but honest clean St Maarteners who actually do qualify.
