This afternoon the Prefect Serge Gouteyron, Randy and Rinaldo Webster and myself were received by the advisers of the Keeper of the Seals.
For us, it was a question of exposing the overall problem of the succession and the probable irregularities that were identified in the procedure. We were understood and heard. As we requested, a mission from the General Inspectorate of Justice supported by other administrations should be sent to Saint-Martin very soon. It will be a question of taking into account all the problems of the land of the island and more particularly the situation of this succession. In the meantime, a legal procedure firmly supported by the rights holders concerned is necessary in support of this mission. It should lead to a more favorable situation for the family. We remain mobilized so that protective law and republican justice bring serenity to our territory. #Saint-Martin
Cet après-midi le Préfet Serge Gouteyron, Randy et Rinaldo Webster et moi-même avons été reçus par les conseillers du Garde des Sceaux.
Il s’agissait pour nous d’exposer la problématique globale de la succession et les probables irrégularités qui ont été repérées dans la procédure. Nous avons été compris et entendus. Tel que nous l’avons demandé, une mission de l’inspection générale de la justice appuyée d’autres administrations devrait être envoyée à Saint-Martin tout prochainement. Il s’agira de prendre en compte toute la problématique du foncier de l’île et plus particulièrement la situation de cette succession. En attendant, une procédure judiciaire solidement portée par les ayants-droit concernés est nécessaire en appui de cette mission. Elle devrait permettre d’aboutir à une situation plus favorable pour la famille. Nous restons mobilisés pour que le droit protecteur et la justice républicaine ramènent la sérénité sur notre territoire. #SaintMartin
