Students struck by vehicle while crossing
The traffic department and police patrol were dispatched to the L.B Scott road early Wednesday morning at approximately 07.00 am, for a traffic accident whereby two minors were struck by a car.
According to the information gathered, the two students were hit by the driver of a Elantra with number plate M-5454,while attempting to cross the L.B Scott road.
The Ambulance personnel treated one of the students on the scene for minor injuries while the other students was transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment after if was discovered that the vehicle drove over their foot.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and brought to the Philipsburg Police station pending further investigation.
