The overdevelopment of SXM.
Not much green left.
Most hills destroyed with very conspicuously gaping holes and excavations
Most beaches destroyed by building right on the beach near the water line, by building rock dykes into the sea,
Most beach water contaminated with sewage water and dangerous to swim in.
Most roads clogged with cars that cannot move forward to reach their destination on time
Most pedestrian walking spaces at the side of the road continuously packed with parked cars and containers,
Just continue to name all the local MAL PRACTISES, that political greed, and overseas investors have caused during the period of 1955 – 2019 = 65 long years
Some of the very prominent political actors of this long period of plundering SXM are still very active in the Staten and other parts of the public sector including the public owned companies and are the same main old time culprits who brought SXM in this constitutional messy merry-go-round after 10-10-10.

All of the politicians are there for their big salaries and perks, without any knowledge whatsoever in their portfolio, the people in the meantime are paying for their daily living in Supermarkets with a indirect 5% T.O.T. markup or more without price controls of government.. Aruba and Curacao pay their sales taxes and no T.O.T., and have their price controls in all sections, and the price for goods and services are way below our overpriced Island, yet they have customs, and we do not.
The Politicians know about this, yet they do nothing. Why is this?? It is for you to answer.
We have no agricultural station, why is that?
Our dilapidated roads, sidewalks, garbage and other services needed are a disgrace to the government in Holland and the people of St. Maarten, simply because if we cannot run a 16 square mile surface of Island, and other countries can run their countries efficient, we ask ourselves why do we need these government appointed people?
The people of St. Maarten should not be confronted with income taxes, T.O.T., Profit Taxes, and S.Z.V. premiums, when the conditions of living on this Island is just a disgrace.
I agree with Holland there should be a takeover sooner than later.
There is so much to talk about why they should do that, and a survey of the to do list by our government should be forthcoming and brought to the attention of the people of St. Maarten.
If there was a controlled commodity tax, and do away with more than half of the income taxes, all of the T.O.T. and more than half of premiums, the budge of government would be more than balanced. Why should people of this Island pay T.O.T. indirectly? Why is it that we have no one to help in this regard, simply because the people in government does not have the knowledge, and do not know anything about keeping the business of the people above water.
