The Coast Guard intercepts more than 3,000 kilos of drugs

Oranjestad – The Coast Guard has intercepted more than 3,000 kilos of drugs near Aruba last Monday. The drugs have since been destroyed under the authority of the Public Prosecution Service.

The case has been transferred to international authorities for further investigation.

Seven Venezuelans intercepted at sea by Dutch Coast Guard

Their boat was detected by the radar en route to the territorial waters of Aruba. A patrol boat went at the wrist and found the boat with seven men from Venezuela. All have been arrested.

The death of a taxi driver in Cabudare on October 11th in an accident, uncovered the alleged location of a subject who would have escaped from the Aruba Correctional Institute in 2014; The man, who hit the deceased with his van, was released under filing, still being “checked” by the authorities in the Police Information System (Sipol).
