The impasse between the Dutch government and the Dutch SXM government continues.
Right after the elections, Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson requested the presence and assistance of the Dutch.
When Dennis’ boss at the time, then Prime Minister Sarah Wescot Williams was allowed to join Theo Heyligers new coalition government, and also got the title of President of Parliament, Dennis and Sarah then tried to dismiss the Dutch, but it was too late.
Everyone agrees that there has to be an integrity committee.
The St Maarten government’s argument is that they have to play a part, a majority part in this Integrity Committee.
The Dutch’s argument, is that you can’t investigate and police yourself, so they want a mainly, if not exclusively Dutch run integrity committee.
Marcel Gumbs, the new Prime Minister has been put in the position of fighting the Dutch on their intervention, but because it was the current Minister of Justice who requested their dire assistance, Marcel doesn’t really have a leg to stand on.
And even if Marcel had a leg to stand on.
The current government, with all of its antics.
Ship jumping,
Frog Leaping
Rabbit springing from party to party, causing further instability, is not helping Marcel’s cause.
The Dutch want to bring in 55 RST officers, some prosecutors and some judges.
Our current police and prosecutors office is only accelerating the Dutch’s intervention by continuing to blatantly commit crime, and by practicing ridiculous ‘class’ justice in the courtrooms, where people of stature are never charged or convicted of anything, because of their status and money.
The Dutch realize the potential for disaster the SMHDF debacle could be………….
They appear to be carefully observing all movements.
Our current government, is still not fully formed, and is quite unstable.
The Dutch know this.
There is inner party warfare, and threats of throwing certain leaders under the bus.
Theo Heyliger is engaged in active warfare with the Dutch, but he’s also involved in the warfare within his own party and government.
Something’s gonna give…….
And that’s what the Dutch are waiting for……..
