The Six Airports Within The DCCA Dutch Caribbean Cooperation Airport Will Cooperate More Closely

The six Caribbean airports within the Kingdom will cooperate more closely. For this they have set up the ‘Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports’ (DCCA). This took place during a virtual meeting of the directors of the six commercial airports on Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Curaçao and Aruba.

DCCA’s goal is to improve the overall quality of each individual airport. They want to do this by providing mutual assistance and exchanging information more efficiently, but also by sharing knowledge and expertise. During the signing ceremony, the directors agreed to work to make the Caribbean region a frontrunner in testing and promoting electric flying.

The collaboration was partly due to the current corona crisis, which has a major impact on tourism and therefore on airports. In addition, there is already close cooperation between the Caribbean islands of the Kingdom in many areas, for example by hospitals. By working together, the airports hope to be more resilient to any new disasters. https://www.rd.nl/artikel/925291-zes-caribisch-nederlandse-luchthavens-gaan-nauwer-samenwerken
