WICSU-PSU signs labor agreement with PJIA St Maarten

Representatives of both the WICSU-PSU union and the PJIA Princess Juliana International Airport St Maarten, shook hands their new four year collective agreement.
After almost 18 months of negotiations the deal was sealed. The agreement covers the employees of Juliana Aiport’s air traffic division. The managing director of PJIA, Larry Donker said according to online quotes, that although it had been difficult and there had been many sleepless nights, that it was a pleasure, and honor and a great accomplishment.
Mr Elton Jones spoke on behalf of the Princess Juliana arbitration team also had nothing but praise for the new agreement and all involved in the effort of 18 months to come to an agreement over the new labor contracts. He was further quoted as saying that “both negotiation teams did what was necessary for our own future and for the longevity of the company, which is referred to as the goose that lays the golden egg. And it was done with keen knowledge of its economic impact on our society and this country of ours.” Mr. Jones said that the Air Traffic Services negotiation team proved to the PJIAE negotiating team that they were a great opposing partner, knowledgeable of the material and willing to compromise when presented with clear evidence of the company’s inability to comply with their request or demand. He stated that they were tough in their demands, but fair. “In the end you’ve given substance to the saying ‘country above self’”.
The websites and blogs are almost completely up and running again. Although they were not down, blogging and web design is an evolutionary process. There has to be constant upgrading, updating and maintenance.
