Control on a passenger vessel
On Friday morning November 29th 2019, around 6 a.m. A multidisciplinary team consisting of personnel from KPSM/ Immigration and Border Control, KMar, K-9 Unit, Human Smuggling, the ALPHA team, Customs and Coast Guard did a general control on a passenger vessel that arrived on Sint.Maarten with a large group of shoppers.
Most of the passengers that arrived on the transport vessel, came to Sint.Maarten, to take advantage of the ongoing Black Friday sales that’s taking place in Phillipsburg. The purpose of the overall control was directed at monitoring and controlling the flow of goods, personal effects and hazardous items and passengers in and out of Sint Maarten. The control will be ongoing over the weekend.
