Next Thursday, 30 October 2014 it was announced on radio programme this afternoon on French St Martin that NEW TAXES will be inflicted on the people of French St Martin. As if the Hurricane GONZALO was not enough! Now the payment RSA as a State payment for being un-employed will be taxed at 30%!. So the poor will be the victims.. So many young people here on Saint Martin are UN EMPLOYED simply because there are NO jobs. So now they will be taxed 30% of the UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS” Next one? The cost of fuel for your car will go up! So what will everyone do? Drive to the Dutch side to fill up so the French side petrol stations will suffer financially not just because of the new tax but from NO BUSINESS… and now I wondered what happened to the water bill.. The Collectivite sneaked in an increase of 36% for the Collection of used water/ sewerage… 36 % increase.,
If you drive through Sandy Ground and Baie Nettle you have to SMELL that smell and just wonder when there will be a serious illness there.. if there isn’t already.
Oh and the ILLEGAL 100 euros for the payment to collect the FREE Avis de Non Imposition is being done again this year… Oh by the way, most of those in the administration of French St Martin are in Santo Domingo. and why??? Who paid for all of those people to go and just after the destruction by Hurricane Gonzalo.
