Dutch State Secretary Knops Turned A Whiter Shade Of Pale When He Heard That Anti-Dutch MFK Won The Curacao Election Saturday

State Secretary Knops must have turned white when he heard the results of the Parliamentary elections in Curaçao at breakfast on Saturday. It was expected that the government parties PAR and MAN would lose ground. But that the victory of the MFK based on anti-Dutch sentiments with 9 out of 21 seats would turn out so great, he could not have imagined in his darkest nightmare.

Knops has partly proclaimed that in the end of his term of office he has to do business with Curaçao’s future prime minister Gilmar Pik Pisas. Of course, PAR and MAN are first and foremost responsible for their own defeat by paying too much attention to the economy and too little to the daily needs of the population.

MFK LEADER CURRENTLY IN PRISON, GERRIT SCHOTTE EMBRACES LATE VENEZUELAN PRESIDENT HUGO CHAVEZ

But knowing how fragile the support of any government in politically hopelessly torn Curaçao is, the way in which the State Secretary recommended the Caribbean Body for Reform and Development has not helped the Rhuggenaath cabinet. It has given the MFK the opportunity to dismiss the coalition as slavish implementers of dictates from The Hague.

It goes too far to conclude that Knops is a better campaign leader for the MFK (plus 4) than for his own CDA (minus 4), the fact is that he seems to have learned little from the failure of predecessors. Gijs de Vries threw the then Prime Minister Pourier in front of the bus with which he helped Anthony Godett, who was denounced in The Hague, (although he had to outsource the premiership to sister Myrna because he was not ministerial due to a conviction for corruption).

In 2010, The Hague was operating so awkwardly that Gerrit Schotte could become the first Prime Minister of Curaçao who thought he could sell his country to a Sicilian Mafia boss in exchange for a million or more in bribes.

And now Knops has to work with Pisas, who makes no secret of rejecting the conditions that the Netherlands sets for support to drag Curaçao through the corona crisis. The two have previously crossed swords when Pisas wanted to cancel elections already called as interim prime minister in 2017 to prevent PAR and MAN from coming to power.

Then Knops (via the Reich Council of Ministers) won the prize. Four years later, the Curaçao against the voting advice of the State Secretary not to vote for parties that take a walk with the democratic rules of the game & # 8211; Pisas still got his way. As a result, they face each other again: one wants to renegotiate, the other emphatically not.

That will not be pleasant conversations. Yet both gentlemen are under an expensive obligation to close the most important deal in the existence of Curaçao.

Beware of robberies of small businesses in Saint-Martin. Police carried out a new crackdown, last week, in Saint-Martin

Beware of robberies of small businesses in Saint-Martin
The police carried out a new crackdown, last week, in Saint-Martin, by arresting a suspected robber, who was raging on both sides of the island.

However, the phenomenon is growing, the gendarmerie of Saint-Martin warns small traders.

Warning against robberies

The Saint-Martin gendarmerie notes an increase in aggravated thefts. In recent times, criminals have attacked mini markets or restaurants, guns in hand.

Thus, managers of these small businesses are strongly advised to make arrangements. It is better to avoid, for example, keeping too much cash in the cash register. They are also encouraged not to be alone during closing hours. Finally, any victim must immediately notify the gendarmerie, by dialing 17.

The early warning helps inform the many patrols present and increases the chances of arresting perpetrators.

Gendarmerie of Saint-Martin

A new challenge

The gendarmerie communicated this week on an arrest made on March 11.
On that day a ceremony was held for the victims of terrorism. On this occasion, the territorial police regulated traffic and found themselves, shortly after 9:00 am, in front of a vehicle whose driver refused to stop at their orders.
An attitude which earned this motorist to be reported to the gendarmerie patrols. The latter quickly intercepted him.
Two men were on board. They were confused by their vehicle, whose characteristics corresponded to a car reported the night before by the KPSM (Korps Politie Sint Maarten); car involved in an armed robbery, in the Dutch part of the island. The handgun (a replica of a lethal weapon, but with balls) was also discovered in the vehicle.

The investigation, carried out by the Marigot brigade and by the detachment of the Saint-Martin research section, allowed one of the people arrested to be confused and implicated in 4 acts of aggravated theft, with a weapon, committed in prejudice of mini markets, between the end of February 2021 and March 10, 2021, partly in France.

Another fact, committed on March 10, 2021, has also been blamed on the respondent who has since been placed in pre-trial detention in Guadeloupe.

This interpellation follows on from others, which date back to previous weeks, for similar facts. https://la1ere.francetvinfo.fr/guadeloupe/saint-martin/gare-aux-braquages-de-petits-commerces-a-saint-martin-964102.html

Sarah Wescott Went On A Facebook Rampage Last Night! ALL CAPITAL LETTERS … Rolando Brison😮

1. POLICY DIFFERENCES WITH THE NETHERLANDS, THE SOLE SOURCE OF FINANCING FOR SINT MAARTEN!!!!!!!!!!

  1. ARE WE STILL PROUD OF THE GAMES WE PLAY WITH THE PEOPLE’S LIVELIHOOD??????
  2. THE NA/UP COALITION HAS TO OWN UP TO THIS DANGEROUS GAME OF BRINKMANSHIP AND STOP IT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

19 Mar 2021
New York, March 19, 2021 — Moody’s Investors Service, (“Moody’s”) has today downgraded the Government of Sint Maarten’s issuer ratings to Ba2 from Baa3. Moody’s also changed the outlook to negative. This concludes the review for downgrade that commenced on 10 February 2021.

The key drivers behind the rating action were:

• Policy differences with the Netherlands, the sole source of financing for Sint Maarten

• Untested access to alternative sources of financing, which exacerbates the credit impact of the large increase in Sint Maarten’s debt burden

The negative outlook reflects the risk that political differences with the Netherlands may lead to a repeat of the funding problems Sint Maarten faced at the end of last year.

The local currency ceiling is lowered to Baa2 from A3 and the foreign currency ceiling is lowered to Baa3 from Baa1. The three notch gap between the local currency ceiling and the sovereign rating reflects the limited role of the government in the economy. The one notch difference between the foreign and local current ceilings reflects the limited scope to impose transfer and convertibility controls within Sint Marteen’s existing monetary union.

BACK STORY:The Daily Herald
Brison blames miscommunication for false statements made about Sarah

Chairperson of Parliament Rolando Brison and MP Sarah Wescot-Williams

~ Sarah: It’s difficult to accept as miscommunication ~

PHILIPSBURG–Chairperson of Parliament Rolando Brison apologised to United Democrats (UD) Member of Parliament (MP) Sarah Wescot-Williams on Thursday for inaccurate statements he made on a radio station suggesting that Wescot-Williams had contracted a Dutch firm in Groningen for more than 20,000 euros to provide advice about how to handle the suspension of former MP Theo Heyliger.

The information from Brison was incorrect, as 2,722 euros was the amount paid to the law firm. The apology was made during a parliamentary session on Thursday afternoon.

Brison said he had received the information based on a conversation he had with the Secretariat of Parliament and indicated that it had been a miscommunication. However, he said it was his responsibility to double-check the information and that this warranted a public apology, as he had been “totally incorrect” in his statements.

Wescot-Williams said she had been made aware of the statement Brison had made during the radio interview on Wednesday that: “A previous President of Parliament contracted a Dutch firm in Groningen for over 20,000 euros, to provide advice about how to handle the suspension of Theo Heyliger, how to keep him out of Parliament.” Wescot-Williams said that Brison, when prompted, had gone on to state that his reference was to the former Chairperson of Parliament, Sarah Wescot-Williams.

“This accusation came about as a result of me questioning the carte blanche the president (chairperson) feels he has, to contract parties based on the motion of November 5, 2020, regarding the decolonisation trajectory. So far, we know only of the Choharis contract,” Wescot-Williams told The Daily Herald.

“I would have left this for what it was, as many inaccurate statements were made by both MPs on the aforementioned radio programme. However, in today’s [Thursday’s – Ed.] committee meeting, [Independent] MP [Christophe] Emmanuel in his notifications, alluded to the statement by the president [chairperson] and asked for clarification.

I was not present for the start of the meeting due to a funeral, but when I learned of Emmanuel’s request, I made a point during the meeting not only to receive the relevant documentation, but to adjourn the finance committee meeting and provide the information there and then.”

Chairperson of Thursday’s meeting George Pantophlet consented that the Secretary General of Parliament provide the documentation, which happened shortly thereafter. All MPs received the request for the legal opinion and the amount paid was 2,722.50 euros.

“This advice regarded the application of Article 50 of the Constitution, in the case of the suspension of a member and substitution. You might recall that that was a hotly debated issue at the time in the case of former MP Heyliger and his substitute J. [Jules] James.

“In this afternoon’s [Thursday afternoon’s] meeting, the President apologised for his statement and said it was a “miscommunication between him and the secretariat.” I was absent from that meeting (had to take my second vaccine), but I also received a WhatsApp message from the President with the apology. Unfortunately, when you plant a seed, lie or truth, it grows, lies even faster than truth,” Wescot-Williams said.

She said it was remarkable, as this is not the first time Brison had alluded to this. “Every time I question the Choharis contract or any other action by the president, he would allude to some act of mine as former president. Why would he emulate me if he thinks it was wrong? And then to brush it off as a ‘mea culpa’ and relegate it to miscommunication, what am I to conclude, that the secretariat fuelled this? No, that is not the case.

“In the same interview, MP Heyliger can be heard saying ‘… and that document is what, eight pages?’ suggesting that the Choharis contract gives more ‘bang for the buck.’ So, the President has seen the document, and for someone who, according to his own admission, researches everything, it’s difficult to accept as miscommunication.”

Wescot-Williams said she had contracted legal advice in her former capacity, because as chairperson of parliament she was required to act and the constitution makes no further provisions “for how or who.”

“By the way, this very issue was one taken up in the legislative review that the Electoral Reform Committee of Parliament had intended to commission. Ironically, that committee is another pet peeve of the current president of parliament, because it came from my hand,” Wescot-Williams said.

Fabian Perez Torres Video: In St Maarten You Are Guilty Until Proven Innocent, Unless You Are The Crooked KPSM Police. KPSM As Usual Protecting Their Criminals In Uniform

While the KPSM police department were arresting me, their Chief Peter de Witte was being gifted a posh apartment at exclusive Port De Plaissance. He was collecting cash bribes, even women that were provided to him by the Casino owner. Ask the KPSM Police Department what exactly they charged me with, after all those arrests.

Insulting a crooked police officer, that’s what! I called them ‘Dutty Muddaskunts’, or in standard English, ‘Dirty Cunts’, after years of harassment, and they put me in jail for the TRUTH.

Google it.

After all of my arrests by KPSM, that is the only charge they could make stick, because it was the only charge that was true. 5 years of continuous harassment and arrests, like I was the one running criminal rackets.

Now they want privacy? They should’ve thought of that before starting with me. And the dotin Prosecutor is saying that it is not about car theft. Of course it is not…

It’s supposed to be aboit rackets and conspiracies to run a criminal enterprise, but carry on…

Babylon don’t just arrest Babylon. Babylon only arrest Babylon when they are forced to. They are supposed to be stopping criminal activities. They are beating you down and harassing you for your five bag of weed, while they are running criminal organisations.

KPSM POLICE KARMA IS DEEP, AND GOD DON’T SLEEP… BUT I DO. I SLEEP VERY GOOD AT NIGHTS.

While Peter de Witte was Chief of Police at KPSM, and arresting me for pay. The Turkish boss owned him! Gave him lavish gifts etc…. NO CONVICTIONS, NO CHARGES… He resides Low Lands… CLOSE TO THE FRENCH BORDER.

The Turkish Casino boss owns so many KPSM police, and I heard he been hacked. So this will only get more interesting. KPSM Gangsta Thug Police. Looking down at you, talking shit about you. While they are stealing drugs, taking bribes from MAFIOSOS and harassing bloggers for PAY!

Now they are trying a cover up

good luck

They splashed my face all over the front page. Now that it is their own, we need to respect the process. HE IS ONE OF MANY, LET THE DOMINOES FALL!

I proud to stay broke. KPSM is a big JOKE in St Maarten.

Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs, The Majority Of The Council Of Ministers Do NOT Agree With Grisha And Rolando’s Petition

PRIME MINISTER JACOBS IS NOT PRO PETITION: Philipsburg Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs has confirmed by letter to State Secretary Knops (BZK) that her cabinet still fully supports the agreement reached in December on the establishment of a Caribbean Body for Reform and Development (COHO). This will direct the spending of Dutch loans and investments and supervise the implementation of far-reaching reforms to help Sint Maarten through the corona crisis.

With her letter, Jacobs complies with Knops’ demand: earlier this week, following the complaint submitted by a majority in the States to the UN against the Netherlands, Jacobs demanded a statement from the Sint Maarten government that it fully support the agreements with the Netherlands. state. The minister demanded an answer by March 18, not only from the government, but also from Parliament. In her letter, Jacobs Knops points out that Parliament will meet today (Friday) and only then can take a position on his demand. In his letter, Knops makes no mistake about ending financial aid to Sint Maarten if Parliament does not unambiguously reaffirm their support for the agreement. In other words: they will have to distance themselves from their charges against the Netherlands.

KNOPS’ LETTER TO P.M. JACOBS, AND SILVERIA’S REPONSE. ST MAARTEN GOVERNMENT IGNORES KNOPS’ DEADLINE: Dutch Sint Maarten Prime Minister, Silveria Jacobs Not Impressed With Knops’ Ultimatum.
Philipsburg – Sint Maarten is not impressed by the ultimatum issued by State Secretary Knops (BZK). He wanted a written confirmation by March 18 that the parliamentarians still support the agreement on the conditions that the Netherlands attaches to the continuation of the corona support.

With his demand, Knops responded to the indictment that a majority of the States have submitted to the UN because they believe that the actions of the Netherlands are colonial and racist. The minister has informed Prime Minister Jacobs that he will suspend liquidity support if there is no certainty that the government and parliament will fully support the agreement concluded in December.

Jacobs responded immediately, but because her answer can be interpreted in various ways, it is still unclear whether Knops is sufficiently reassured. Parliament has ignored his deadline. In a debate with the prime minister on Friday, they made it clear that it is not the Dutch minister, but they themselves that are about their agenda.

In the meantime, Knops has spoken with the prime ministers of Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten about the progress of the Kingdom Act establishing the Caribbean Body for Reform and Development. The advice of the Council of State will first be discussed in the Council of Ministers, after which the bill may or may not be amended; is presented to the four parliaments for consideration.

The States of the CAS countries can participate in the final debate in the House of Representatives via delegates and submit amendments and motions, but there is no voting.

The Dutch Caribbean Plot Thickens: Curaçao Election Result Set Off Alarm Bells in Netherlands

Parties opposed to the conditions of Dutch financial aid win a majority.
Two days after parliamentary elections in the European Netherlands, voters on Curaçao, one of the three autonomous Dutch islands in the Caribbean, went to the polls on Friday.

The result was a resounding victory for the populist Movement for the Future of Curaçao (MFK), led by Gilmar Pisas, who won nine out of 21 seats in the island Estates.

Bottom lines
Pisas briefly served as prime minister in 2017, after the collapse of the last government with the MFK.
The Christian democratic National People’s Party (PNP), led by former transport minister Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia, shared second place with the liberal party of outgoing prime minister Eugene Rhuggenaath.
Both parties campaigned against austerity measures and reforms imposed by Netherlands.
The MFK’s return to power will set off alarm bells in The Hague. Not only does it oppose the terms of the rescue program that were painstakingly negotiated with Rhuggenaath last year; the party would take Curaçao out of the kingdom altogether. Its founder, Gerrit Schotte, was convicted of bribery and money laundering after a two-year stint as prime minister.
Results
Party Ideology 2017 2021
■ MFK Pro-independence, populist right 5 9
■ PAR Liberal, centrist 6 4
■ PNP Christian democratic 0 4
■ MAN Social democratic 5 2
■ KEM Social democratic 0 1
■ TPK PIN offshoot 0 1
■ KNT Pro-independence 2 0
■ PIN Christian democratic 1 0
■ PS Pro-independence left 1 0
■ MP Center-left 1 0
Background
Coronavirus has shattered the island’s tourism-dependent economy. One in two workers are jobless. 50,000 out of 160,000 residents are dependent on food aid, much of it paid by the Netherlands.
Relations with the European Netherlands, and in particular the reforms Rhuggenaath agreed, have become the dividing line in Curaçaoan politics.
Measures include reducing public-sector salaries and red tape, lowering the cost of doing business, making it easier to hire and fire workers and speeding up the issuance of permits.
The biggest pain point is that a Dutch-appointed panel of officials will supervise the changes. Opponents call this a latter-day form of colonialism.
MFK and other opposition parties boycotted sessions of the Estates earlier this year in a bid to stall the reforms. They were unsuccessful, but it took Dutch intervention to break the stalemate.
Curaçao is one of three autonomous islands in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The other two are Aruba and Sint Maarten. The smaller islands Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius are overseas municipalities of the European Netherlands and voted in Wednesday’s election.

Anti Dutch MFK And PNP Parties Celebrate Resounding Election Victory In Curacao. Now They Want To Renegotiate COHO.

Anti Holland MFK And PNP Resounding Election Victory In Curacao. Wants To Renegotiate COHO. Opposition wins parliamentary elections in Curaçao. Reform treaty with the Netherlands under discussion.
On Curaçao, opposition party MFK has achieved a resounding victory. The party led by Gilmar ‘Pik’ Pisas comes in nine of the 21 seats in parliament. The result is also important for the negotiations with the Netherlands on financial support and structural reforms.

MFK and PNP are set to rule the Caribbean island, an autonomous country within the kingdom, amid rising covid infections and a massive economic crisis. It is important here what the parties want with the so-called Coho, the ‘Caribbean body for reform and development’, with which the Netherlands wants to invest hundreds of millions of euros in the coming years in a more effective government, better education, guaranteed care and protection of the rule of law.

Pisas has made it clear before the election that he wants to renegotiate Coho. The plans for this still have to be approved by the parliaments of all four countries within the kingdom. This does not seem to be a problem in the Netherlands and Aruba. On Curaçao and St. Maarten it is.

The division in Curaçao politics is somewhat comparable to that in the Netherlands between ‘cosmopolitans’ and ‘nationalists’. The Caribbean cosmopolitans are looking for active cooperation with the Netherlands and use of Dutch expertise. The nationalists on the island believe that the Netherlands wants too much influence and has its own, whether or not neo-colonial, agenda.

Underestimated
Gilmar Pisas (49) is considered a man of the people. He was born and raised on the so-called Band’abou, the rural part of the island, which often feels disadvantaged near Willemstad. Before entering politics, he worked as a police officer. “All my life people underestimated me,” he said. “But time and again I achieve my goals.”

The very likely new Curaçao prime minister rose within the MFK, the party that was founded by Gerrit Schotte shortly before the island became autonomous in 2010. As prime minister, Schotte was accused of official corruption and money laundering. After a long trial, he was jailed for three years. He is free again and has stated that he no longer wants to get involved in politics. Pisas says he has stripped the MFK of all previous blemishes.

Disappointed voters speak of ‘back to square one’ and refer to the period 2010-2012, in which the MFK ‘abused’ the young country of Curaçao for its own financial gain and even maintained ties with the international mafia. This has indeed changed in recent years. Pisas says he will pursue a transparent policy in all respects.

The background to this is also the financial supervision that the Netherlands conducts on the three other countries within the kingdom. In the past, this has often led to serious clashes. The issue is currently also an issue in Sint Maarten. The parliament there has even raised the Dutch involvement in pure government with the United Nations, because the Netherlands would violate the right of self-determination.

Sint Maarten has responded enthusiastically to the MFK’s victory in Curaçao. Member of Parliament Claudius Buncamper said: ‘The people of Curaçao have spoken loud and clear. The voters have sent a very clear message to everyone in the kingdom. ‘ So a message ‘against’ the Netherlands.

The Latest UPDATE: FORMER MINISTER MARIA ‘MARIETJE’ BUNCAMPER’S CONVICTIONS ARE UPHELD, HER HUSBAND PARLIAMENTARIAN CLAUDIUS ‘TOONTJE’ BUNCAMPER TO BE RETRIED IN COMMON CRIMINAL COURT

How do you, Claudius Toontje Buncamper, as a Parliamentarian get convicted of tax evasion, and more. Your wife, the former Health Minister, Maria Marietje Buncamper, was also convicted of tax evasion and more… Now four days ago, on March 16th, the Dutch Supreme Court upheld her conviction, their ruling stayed. Your case was sent back to the Common Criminal Court to be retried, it was neither dismissed nor thrown out, which means that there’s a good chance you will finally be going to prison.

Now, yesterday Toontje is back in the press…The very same, SELECT press that he BRIBES for good coverage, talking about his concerns about taxes…..
Because St Maarten people are too stupid to see that most of Claudius Toontje Buncamper, PAID editorials are to cover up and distract from negative press associated with his criminal activity
I translated the court documents a few hours after they were published on March 16th, so I knew Claudius Toontje Buncamper, the convicted felon would be in the papers soon. Toontje is not in prison because a crooked Prosecutor named Wolp is supposed to have thrown his case. Any other St Maartener who had done what they did, would have been buried under the prison. But ignorant, impoverished voters, the ones who suffer the most, worship these political crooks like they’re saviours. You would think he would have the common sense to lay low and shut his bloated, dotin carcass up, but it’s all smoke and mirrors with these unscrupulous clowns.

Only in St Maarten.
These crooks and their lawyers know that most people in St Maarten don’t speak Dutch, but of course, the government, courts etc… everything official, legit is done in Dutch.
Now, even if you speak Dutch, finding Dutch court documents is not easy because they keep names anonymous. Everyone is just ‘The Suspect’. So, even if someone were interested in The Buncamper case, unless someone like me or one of those Dutch legal sites breaks it down it can almost be impossible to find, if you don’t know how to look, or what you are looking for. The only info they give you is the year that the suspect was born. Not even the country. Not the day nor month, just the year. 1963
Then if you manage to find the case that you are looking for it’s all Dutch legalese. Just archaic Germanic mumbo jumbo. Like Chaucer English , but in Dutch. A lot of times I’m just like….Get to the damn point!!! Overly formal legal b.s. You’re stuck reading the same nonsensical line over and over. They use forty words to describe one act, and the average Dutch word can have 20 letters. The only language that I know is worse than Dutch when it comes to unnecessary letters in a word is French and Welsh.
So, I do all that, it can take hours and the Buncampers case is nothing, just a few pages. Some cases like the Magnus case. Just one hearing has 23.000 words of documents. Then everything has to be translated using a person and a processor. While I am busy translating and posting the actual court transcripts and documents, they are busy posting distractions.

Their lawyers or PR team launch preemptive strikes, to distract from their blatant criminal activities, convictions and the fact that the Court STILL believe that they are guilty.
Which other LEGIT country allows convicted felons to run for office and be appointed to government? St Maarten….ONLY IN ST MAARTEN
In St Maarten people like former MP Silvio Matser were investigated, arrested, tried, convicted even given a prison sentence, in our Kangaroo Courts. Yet, MP Silvio Matser was allowed to KEEP his parliament seat, as he filed appeal after appeal for years. AFTER he was convicted and sentenced.
KNOWING THAT HE WAS GUILTY! MP Louis Laveist went from Parliament to prison, then back to Parliament again. Politicians like Parliamentarian Rolando Brison think nothing of having lunch in public with a KNOWN Sicilian Mafioso. How is this acceptable to St Maarteners?
Nothing lasts for ever. These crooks are supremely confident that they will stay on top, no matter what… Since 2009 I have encountered a lot of these Supremely confident politicians… Most end up in jail.

MARIA BUNCAMPER’S CONVICTION STANDS, CLAUDIUS ‘TOONTJE’ BUNCAMPER TO BE RETRIED IN COMMON CRIMINAL COURT:

Conviction of the former Minister of Health Sint Maarten remains March 16, 2021
Case against husband must be retried
The conviction of the former Minister of Health, Social Development and Labor Affairs on Sint Maarten for tax evasion and forgery is upheld. The Supreme Court has ruled that today. This does not apply to the case against her husband. That case must be heard again by the Court.

The case

The criminal offenses of which the couple is suspected are related to the setting up of a financial construction in which the income from the rental of a piece of land at Sint Maarten Building Supplies (SB) was not obtained privately by the suspects, but by the company Eco Green. that was set up for this purpose by the suspects. A front man proposed by the suspects was the owner / director of that company. Eco Green did not include the rental income in the profit tax returns, as a result of which too little profit tax was paid.

The Joint Court of Justice imposed on both suspects a fine of Naf 25,000 and a community service of 240 hours for actually directing Eco Green’s incorrect and incomplete filing of the profit tax return. They were acquitted of the other criminal offenses.

Cassation (complaints)

The defendants’ lawyer asked the Supreme Court to quash the convictions. Complaints were made about the Court’s evidence in both cases.

Judgment of the Supreme Court

In the case against the woman the cassation complaints are unsuccessful. The Supreme Court dismissed the complaints without substantive reasons because the appeal in cassation is unfounded and does not raise any legally important new questions. With this judgment, the conviction of this suspect is final. Due to the duration of the procedure, the community service imposed will be 228 hours. The fine imposed remains unchanged.

The cassation complaints are successful in the case against her husband. According to the Supreme Court, it cannot be inferred from the evidence used by the Court that he actually led Eco Green’s criminal acts. The Court has not established how and to what extent the accused was involved in Eco Green’s profit tax returns. The mere finding of the Court that the defendant and his wife had set up the financial construction with Eco Green and that they both had far-reaching involvement in the course of affairs within Eco Green is, according to the Supreme Court, not sufficient for a proven statement of the actual management. making incorrect tax returns. His case will therefore have to be heard again by the Court.
