VROMI Infrastructure Management Operations personnel was accompanied by students who are currently undergoing job training. The students (10 in total) were taught how to apply road markings using traditional methods. This is a great opportunity for the students as they can use the skills that they develop during this training, in the future.
The Ministry of VROMI looks forward to the completion of this program soonest.
Mr JR Veerman will become a member of the Joint Court of Justice. The Kingdom Council of Ministers has approved the nomination for appointment on the proposal of Minister Weerwind for Legal Protection, also on behalf of his colleagues from Aruba, Curaรงao and Sint Maarten. Veerman is a judge at the Gelderland District Court.
In addition to becoming a member of the Joint Court of Justice, Mr. GAFM Wouters will also become the new vice-president of the Joint Court and will therefore have the Sint Maarten branch in his portfolio as director. He is currently working as a judge at the Rotterdam District Court. Before that he was, among other things, examining magistrate and vice-president at the Dordrecht District Court.

On the proposal of Minister Yeลilgรถz-Zegerius of Justice and Security, the Council of Ministers has agreed to nominate Mr. ARE (Guus) Schram for appointment as a member of the Board of Prosecutors General of the Public Prosecution Service (OM) as of 1 January. October 2022.
Since August 2019, Schram has been the chief public prosecutor at the Functional Public Prosecutor’s Office. He started his career at the Public Prosecution Service in 2000 after his Raio training as a public prosecutor at the public prosecutor’s office in Rotterdam. In 2004 he transferred to the National Public Prosecutor’s Office where he was appointed senior officer in 2007 and deputy chief officer in April 2012.
From August 2017 to August 2019, he was chief public prosecutor at the Northern Netherlands Public Prosecutor’s Office. Before that, Schram was Attorney General of Curaรงao, Sint Maarten and Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba from February 2014 to September 2017. Guus Schram succeeds Theo Hofstee, who will retire on November 1, 2022.

The gendarmerie of Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands participated yesterday morning in the traditional ceremony of July 14, celebration of the republican motto “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity”.
โก๏ธ It was to the rhythm of “trumpets ๏บ and drums ๏ฅ” that the gendarmes marched, on the seafront of Basse-Terre, alongside their comrades from the armies, the national police and the firefighters. The public, who came in large numbers, applauded and admired the troops parading on foot and in vehicles.
โก๏ธ During the ceremony, chaired by the Prefect of the Region Alexandre Rochatte, a presentation of decorations ๏ was held honoring the soldiers of the gendarmerie, in the presence of the military and civil authorities of Guadeloupe as well as local elected officials and representatives of patriotic associations.
