The Basic Medical Unit (BME) and discharge teams of 10 Combat Service Support Squadron (10CSSS) provide medical support to marines from 12RSQN, KMAR and Police on St. Maarten.

They provide care and transportation for trauma victims, provide first-line consultation hours and monitor Force Health Protection during times of COVID-19. For this, a liaison takes place between defense, the hospital and the local GGD. In addition, the BME has medical tents that can be set up as a mobile medical shelter after, for example, a hurricane. Your own unit is trained in quiet hours.
