WILLEMSTAD – Refineria di Kòrsou (RdK) and Isla (PDVSA) have recently reached an agreement in the context of the previous conservative seizure by RdK. According to the Government, this agreement must contribute to the peace and stability that is so necessary precisely during this transition period and “that will allow the refinery to start operating again soon.”
An important part of this agreement is that the third party attachment that RdK had imposed on Aqualectra funds destined for Isla will be canceled.
In this way Isla can fulfill its obligations with respect to the current contract with RdK, but also with respect to third parties, particularly its employees,” said the Government.
“RdK, in turn, can focus on the process of looking for a future refinery partner, after the current contract with PDVSA expires at the end of this year and a possible harmonious transition must be made.”
