Less than an hour ago, the Atlantis Casino was robbed, one security guard was shot.
The detective department is investigating an attempted robbery at the Atlantis Casino. The incident occurred at approximately 12 noon on Sunday.
It is still not clear as to how many persons were involved in Sunday’s high noon robbery, however, speaking to our news department, the Police Spokesman, Inspector Ricardo Henson confirmed that a security guard was shot in the process.
Henson stated that in the process of the robbery, a security guard at the establishment got shot in the leg, and that he is currently nursing his wound at the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC).
In the mean time a man hunt has been launched to apprehend the criminals responsible for Sunday’s attempted robbery.
