COLE BAY–Five persons were arrested by police after a search of an apartment building on Welfare Road early Sunday morning.
Two persons were arrested due to their undocumented immigration status and three for illegal drug possession. Police were acting on information received about possible illegal activities occurring in the apartment.
The search of the two apartments yielded two bricks of compacted marijuana, six ecstasy pills and 14 small plastic bags containing hashish. Cash including US $2,300, 110 euros and NAf. 75 was also found and confiscated.
All suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues, according to the Police Department.
