Dutch Marine ship picks up second coke shipment this month

Navy ship Zr. Ms Groningen has done a second cocaine capture this month during a patrol in the Caribbean Sea: 330 kilos. The incident happened already on the morning of October 19, west of Aruba, but has only now been brought out.

The FRISC interception boat of the Groningen successfully followed the speed boat of the drug smuggling candle. Earlier, a Dash-8, patrol aircraft of the coastguard had discovered the vessel and sent the Groningen in the right direction.

On the fast interception boat was a combined team from the US Coast Guard and members of the Marine Corps. The suspects and the cocaine were transferred to the American coast guard vessel Charles David Junior. The suspects come to court in the United States.

Zr.Ms. Groningen has been in the Caribbean since April 2019. Almost a ton of cocaine was caught at the beginning of October .
