Dutch Sint Maarten PM Leaving St Maarten, Family Reasons. Minister Doran York Will Be In Charge

It has been one year (on Sunday past) since this CoM was sworn in and together we pledge to continue to serve the people of St. Maarten to the best of our ability with the best intentions for our people in all decision making.
As we work to build our resilience to external shocks, while getting our economy back on track in our new normal, I ask one and all to look within and be inspired to make a difference in your life, your family’s life, your community and St. Martin/Soualiga – on the whole
Together we are strong and together we can end the negativity that has pervaded our society for too long. As a man/woman thinks so he/she is!!
“So let us think positive and channel that energy towards solutions for a brighter future for us all and for generations to come.”
Together we can!!!

I also hereby notify the people of St. Maarten that I am currently out of the country for family reasons which are unavoidable at the moment.
The Deputy PM @Egbert Doran will hold the fort along with the Council of Ministers. There will be continuity of government and I trust that all will be well as we move forward.
I remain available virtually and will keep in close contact with the CoM and Parliament as well as other stakeholders in the ongoing discussions for the realization of liquidity support and the continuation of the negotiations to lead to an improved entity to monitor the reforms and programs.
I ask all to remain positive, steadfast and strong as we stand together for a stronger St. Maarten.

Best regards,
PM S. Jacobs
