The prefecture and the ARS Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy have informed that the English variant of SARSCoVv 2 has been identified in 9 people: 5 residents of Guadeloupe and 4 of Saint-Martin. These are mostly young people, health authorities said. About ten samples had been sent to France, to the national reference center, to be analyzed more closely. Nine exhibited the characteristics of the English variant.
