The notorious “NUTO” Wawoe was the target of an assassination attempt recently in the prison.
“NUTO” is said to be a top lieutenant of the “No Limit Gang” from Curacao, a gang which is also believed to have played a major role in the assassination of the lat MP Helmin Wiels of Curacao.
The weapon used in the assassination attempt jammed allowing other prisoners who were said to be the body guards on “NUTO” the opportunity to disable the attacker, another prisoner Carlos Richardson.
Richardson was also flown out to Holland just last month. With “NUTO” also transferred to Holland the stability at the Pointe Blanch Prison may be returned.
A press release from the Prosecutor Office on Monday states, “Detainee U.W. from the Point Blanche prison was transferred on Sunday November 2nd 2014 to a prison in the Netherlands”. “The transfer is related to the recent incidents in the prison in Philipsburg”. “The transfer is intended to ensure the safety of inmates and the facility”.
