As of September 1, 2016, the Public Prosecution Services of Curaçao, Sint Maarten and BES and the Office of the
Attorney General have a new code of conduct. The updated code of conduct is more consistent with the developments within the Public Prosecution Service where an integrated approach, connection with society and a professional prosecution service are key.
This code of conduct applies to all employees of the Public Prosecution Service and is a means to emphasize their
responsibility. Integrity, professionalism, environment-oriented role, transparency and precision are the key concepts
in the code of conduct and are therefore the guiding concepts for the actions of our employees.
The Code of Conduct was approved by the Ministers of (Security and) Justice of Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the
Netherlands and will take effect on September 1st. The Code of Conduct can be found on the website of the Public

Gedragscode Openbaar Ministerie geactualiseerd
Per 1 september 2016 hebben de Openbaar Ministeries van Curaçao, Sint Maarten en BES en het Parket van de
Procureur-Generaal een nieuwe gedragscode. Met de verníeuwde gedragscode wordt beter aangesloten bij de ontwikkelingen binnen het OM waarbij integrale aanpak, verbinding met de samenleving en een professioneel openbaar ministerie centraal staan.
Deze gedragscode geldt voor alle medewerkers van het OM en is een middel om de nadruk te leggen op de eigen
verantwoordelijkheid van de medewerker. Integer, professioneel, omgevingsgericht, transparant en zorgvuldig zijn de kernbegrippen in de gedragscode en daarmee de leidende begrippen voor het handelen van onze medewerkers.
De gedragscode is goedgekeurd door de Ministers van (Veiligheid en) Justitie van Curaçao, Sint Maarten en
Nederland en gaat in per 1 september 2016. De gedragscode is te vinden op de website van het OM via de link:
