Sint Maarten reopens to yachts, ships and private planes.

Sint Maarten reopens to yachts, ships and private planes. The government announced this on Tuesday evening (local time). The country is increasingly relaxing corona measures now that the corona virus has been neutralized, according to the government. Restaurants and bars were open again on 1 June.
No new corona infections have been added to the island for several weeks. Sint Maarten closed the borders for planes and boats on March 15. Everyone who arrives on Sint Maarten from now on must first be quarantined for a fortnight.

However, exemption may be granted for boats and airplanes from some countries. The government has not yet identified specific countries, but this may be, for example, from Saba and St. Eustatius or other Caribbean islands where there are no active corona infections anymore. Curaçao is also working on the opening under conditions of air traffic between different Antillean islands.
