UPDATE: JOSÉ DANIEL YAJURE NAMED BY VENEZUELAN PRESS VICTIM KILLED IN STABBING IN ST MAARTEN, OTHER VENEZUELAN HANGING ON TO LIFE

José Daniel Yajure, a native of Mirimire, San Francisco municipality of Falcón state, played a baseball game on Sunday, after which his teammates decided to share a few drinks around the stadium located on Island Sint Maarten (Saint Martin).

The Notifalcón website reports that one of the players tripped over something, which sparked a argument that was followed by apologies to settle the misunderstanding.

The mishap seemed over, but when the Venezuelan who had tripped got up to go to the bathroom, they followed him and stabbed him in the back.

An act that cost him his life

Seeing what happened, Yajure came to his defense and hit the attacker on the head with a board. This act cost him his life, as he received several stab wounds and bled to death. The doctors could do nothing to save him.

The partner who was first stabbed is also torn between life and death, due to serious damage to his internal organs.

Man fatally stabbed on Tassel road, Cul-De Sac

The police dispatch received several calls on Sunday evening February 14th 2021, around 11.30 pm, concerning a double-stabbing that took place at a bar located on the Tassel road.

When the patrol and ambulance personnel arrived on the scene, they were informed that both victims had already been transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center by a private vehicle. The patrol approached several persons who were on the scene gathering information on what exactly had taken place. At SMMC the detectives were notified that both victims, who were in critical condition, could not give a statement to the detectives.

Early this morning the police were notified by the personnel of the Sint Maarten Medical Center that one of the victims had succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the victim is currently being withheld until all families of the victim have been properly notified.
